  1. How long have you been trading?

    David Andrews opened their doors on 14th February 1964.

  2. When do I need to book my cars?

    Really this depends on the date of your wedding. If your wedding is being held midweek or in the Winter, you are under less time pressure that you would be if it was a weekend in the peak season (May - October). Generally speaking - the earlier your book, the more choice you have. Once you have booked it is one less thing to worry about. When you see something you like, booking it can avoid disappointment at a later date.

  3. How do I book?

    To book the cars, we would ask for a £50 deposit per car. We would then ask you see you about 2 weeks before the wedding to finalise all details such as, pick up locations and times, ribbon colours and at that point we would also ask for the final balance to be paid.

  4. Can we see the cars before we book?

    We always recommend that you have a look at the cars before you book. Photographs seldom show the exact colour or the amount of space inside. Viewing the cars will at the very least help you to decide which you prefer.

  5. Do we need an appointment?

    Not necessary, our office is open Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm.

  6. Can we change our cars after the deposit is paid and is there any charge for doing so?

    If the vehicles you want to change to are still available, we will change the cars over for you with no associated administration costs. If you choose a more expensive vehicle, there will be an increase in your final balance.

  7. How much will it cost?

    Prices vary depending on the type of car and number of cars that you choose. However, if we can get a brief outline of the wedding we will happily run through various price options with you.

  8. Is the car large enough for my dress and train?

    We have never yet had a dress that we cannot fit into the back of our cars! Obviously, some dresses are bigger than other and some cars are more spacious than others! The best way to find this out is to call into our office and have a seat in the cars and see for yourself.

  9. Are there enough seats for my wedding party?

    Again this would depend on the size of your wedding party and how many cars you want to book. With a fleet of over 30 vehicles, we are sure that we will have enough cars to suit your requirements.

  10. Do all of your cars meet all current safety standards?

    Yes. All of our vehicles go through their annual vehicle tests and are all properly insured and taxed.

  11. Is there a distance limitation on the cars?

    As we use modern cars that are made to look vintage, there is not a distance restriction for our vehicles. By using the modern engines, we can also travel at normal road speeds which some vintage cars cannot.

  12. My wedding requirements are not traditional, can you cater for this?

    David Andrews constantly update their fleet to introduce new cars and colours. Our staff and drivers are always happy to accommodate your requirements.

  13. Are the cars dedicated to my wedding on that day?

    David Andrews only do one wedding per set of cars per day.  So we will not be rushing off to get to another job or late arriving because of another job.

  14. What level of service can we expect on the day?

    David Andrews strive to provide the best cars, chauffeurs and service to you on your wedding day. We continually update our chauffeur training to help meet the needs of modern day couples getting married. We will send out well presented, reliable, clean cars both inside and outside. Our fully uniformed chauffeurs will do their upmost to assist you in a courteous and friendly manner, while still remaining discreet.

  15. Are drivers uniformed?

    Yes, the driver’s uniform consists of a dark suit, white shirt, silver tie and a peak cap.

  16. Do the drivers know where they are going or do we need to supply maps?

    With 45 years of experience, we have a good idea of where most places are. We also keep up to date maps in our office for any locations we do not know. If your address is particularly hard to find, we may ask for a free hand sketch or a brief description of where the address is.

  17. Do we have a choice of ribbon colour or are they standard white/ivory?

    David Andrews supplies a range of different colours, from the traditional whites and ivories to the more modern, pinks, greens, blues, purples and browns.  Many of today’s Bridesmaids dresses have a shimmer which makes matching the colours exactly difficult.  However, I am sure there will be a ribbon that will tone in with your wedding colours.

  18. Do you supply umbrellas?

    We hope that you will not have to use them, but just incase we do keep umbrellas in all of our cars!

  19. Do you offer any other wedding services?

    In addition to wedding cars, we also supply wedding stationery in our office ranging from wedding invitations to thank you cards. We also have access to minibuses that can be used for any of your guests who require transport.

  20. Can you supply additional vehicles for my extended family/friends?

    Yes, we have a range of vehicles that you can use for family and friends, however, we would always recommend that you consider all costs before you make up your mind on providing more transport than necessary.

  21. Can I pay off in installments to save myself large bills at the end?

    Yes. We will work around you in regards to payment. You can pay it all up front, pay off in installments or pay the remaining balance 2 weeks before.
